The exhibition Rembrandt and the Portrait in Amsterdam, 1590-1670 brings together some of the finest works in this genre by both Rembrandt and other leading artists of the period with the aim of revealing the enormous variety and remarkable quality of his work.

Friends can enjoy a private visit to its galleries in the company of an art historian on one of the Temporary exhibition focus tours which take place on 23 February and 1 and 2 March 2020.

This activity is complemented by the “preview”, a non-guided visit to the exhibition, offered on 16 February, the day before its inauguration.
