The activities programme for Friends restarts in September with a new short course focusing on the depiction of gardens in the history of art. Over the course of 3 sessions participants will discover how artists have depicted this complex aesthetic phenomenon from the late Middle Ages to the present day through works in the collection, in which colours and gradations, scents and sounds and flora and fauna appeal to all the senses. The course includes a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Madrid.
