To coincide with the exhibition on Balthus, the Museum is organising a study day of lectures on the figure of this controversial artist.

Taking part will be experts such as Sabine Rewald, curator at the Metropolitan Museum, New York, the art historian Laura Cornejo, the exhibition’s curator Juan Ángel López-Manzanares, and the restorer Susana Pérez. Their lectures will analyse Balthus’s life and career and will aim to respond to some of the unanswered questions that persist with regard to his work.
