Once again with the latest exhibition, Friends have the chance to join a guided tour, on this occasion of Lucian Freud: new perspectives. Organised in collaboration with the National Gallery, London, this retrospective marks the centenary of the British artist’s birth.

The exhibition’s different sections, which follow a primarily chronological sequence, include around 50 paintings that together offer a survey of the evolution of one of the 20th century’s most important artists, from his earliest portraits to the depictions of the nude which reflect Freud’s interest in the human body. His incisive, subversive and on occasions shocking painting reveals his particular meta-artistic reflection: painting about painting and the “intensification of reality” which he consistently aimed to achieved.

Friends are also invited to be the first to visit the exhibition, accompanied by a guest, at a preview on Sunday 12.
