Guillermo Solana, the museum’s artistic director, has selected the work of ten prominent artists in the Carmen Thyssen Collection as the subject for a new lecture series organised in two parts, the first this spring and the second in November and December.

From 5 May to 1 June the lectures will focus on works by Jan Bruegel I, Caspar van Wittel, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and Auguste Rodin. From 3 November to 1 December the talks will centre on Emil Nolde, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Natalia Goncharova and Henri Matisse.
