Art and music will be joining forces this summer for AperitivosThyssen, a series of concerts performed by young soloists and groups influenced by jazz and the artistic avant-gardes. Elena Setién, Forastero, Juno & Darrell, The Limboos, RRUCCULLA and Picadillo will be up on the Terraces of the museum offering sessions inspired by the work of Picasso, Pollock, Klee, Rothko, Kandinsky and Kupka. These sessions will take place on various Saturdays every month between June and September with the sponsorship of Heineken. There will also be the chance to experiment with the sound installation Congo Squares created by artist Massimiliano Casu and again based on jazz.
