Visions of Paradise, lecture series

The Museum’s Department of Modern Painting was organising a new series of lectures this autumn to coincide with the exhibition Gauguin and the Voyage to the Exotic, which opened on 9 October of 2014. Entitled Visions of Paradise and led by the journalist Juby Bustamante, it benefited from the participation of writers Javier Reverte, Félix de Azúa, Maruja Torres, Luis García Montero and Juan Goytisolo. The first lecture was given by the Museum’s Artistic Director Guillermo Solana on 20 October, to be followed by lectures given by the above-mentioned writers who discussed their travels, experiences and ideas on the exotic.
