The Museum displays a selection of twenty works that were previously in the collection of Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza before its dispersal among his heirs and the installation of the majority of the paintings in the Palacio de Villahermosa, the Museum’s current home in Madrid.

Ten works of the highest quality have been chosen for this special display, comprising Dutch and German 16th and 17th century goldsmith’s work; two Italian and German Renaissance sculptures; three spectacular Italian Baroque, carved rock crystal pieces; four oil paintings from different 17th century schools; and a remarkable 18th century German travelling case with 66 accessories inside it.
