The museum is presenting Madrid, EXT., a film directed by Juan Cavestany with music by Guille Galván, which focuses on the city, time, its flow and its contradictions. Mid-way between documentary and experiment, drama and comedy, deconstruction and homage, the film, which was released in cinemas at the end of August, presents a vast visual and sound archive of Madrid's inhabitants and locations in which commerce and wildlife, architecture and ladies, haberdasheries and poets, builders and destroyers of the city interconnect. A tribute to the city and its visual heritage.

There will be four screenings during the course of the day, the last of which will include a discussion with the film’s director, Juan Cavestany.
