With a passion for art only matched by travel, Michael Palin combines both on a journey through Europe to unravel the mysteries and discover the life and story of Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershøi, an artist who has fascinated him for years and whose work spanned the 19th and 20th centuries. Curious to see more of Hammershøi's paintings and discover how the artist lived, Palin searches for clues in London, the Netherlands, and finally Copenhagen, the painter's birthplace.
