A flamenco dancer and choreographer from Cádiz, Paco Hidalgo has developed an artistic approach that explores new ways of understanding flamenco from a contemporary perspective. A graduate in Flamenco Dance Pedagogy from the María de Ávila Conservatory of Dance in Madrid, he combines his work as a performer, choreographer and cultural manager.

As a creator, Hidalgo has devised productions such as Los silencios del baile, Binomio, Ver, oír y bailar o Moscas y diamantes, in addition to collaborating on productions for the Teatro de la Zarzuela and Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London. His work has been presented at festivals such as Suma Flamenca, the Jerez Festival, Madrid en Danza and the Avignon Festival. He is currently engaged in new research and creative projects focused on the language of flamenco.
