Consorcio

Grupo Consorcio is a company with more than 75 years of history, originally founded in Santoña, on the Cantabrian coast, an environment deeply connected to the sea and to traditional canning craftsmanship. Since its beginnings, the company has focused its activity on the selection and preparation of seafood products, consolidating a model based on quality, expertise, and respect for traditional processes.

Throughout its history, Grupo Consorcio has maintained a strong commitment to the origin of its raw materials and to artisanal craftsmanship, preserving techniques and knowledge that form part of a culture intrinsically linked to the sea.

The company’s activity is built around a balance between tradition and innovation, where knowledge accumulated over generations coexists with a contemporary vision focused on continuous improvement. In this sense, Grupo Consorcio has evolved while preserving the values that define its identity.

Beyond its industrial dimension, Grupo Consorcio represents a way of understanding the sea as a space of connection and cultural transmission. The sea is understood not only as a source of resources, but also as a meeting point between territories, a place of exchange, and a driver of identity-building. This vision highlights the importance of the trades, communities, and stories that have grown around it.

This understanding of the sea is what gives meaning to its collaboration with the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza. Through this project, Grupo Consorcio becomes part of a route within the museum’s permanent collection that explores the ocean as an element of cultural, historical, and symbolic connection, establishing a dialogue between art and territory.

The collaboration is conceived as a respectful integration within the museum context, where the brand’s presence is naturally embedded into the narrative of the route and the visitor experience. This approach allows for the creation of a strong association between brand and culture, aligned with contemporary best practices in the field of cultural branded content.

With this initiative, Grupo Consorcio reinforces its commitment to projects that go beyond the product itself in order to highlight origin, time, and craftsmanship, contributing to the creation of cultural experiences that connect past and present through a contemporary perspective.
