In conjunction with the exhibition Antonio Lopez, the Museum has organised various related activities that will offer visitors the chance to learn more about the life and work of this artist from La Mancha. On 2 and 30 July, there will be a showing of Victor Erice’s film El sol del membrillo (7pm, Auditorium). It focuses on López’s creative process as he painted a quince tree in the courtyard of his garden.

On 9 and 23 July there will be a chance to see another film by Erice entitled Notes, in addition to Erice / Kiarostami Correspondence, which presents the audiovisual correspondence maintained by the two filmmakers, as well as Conversation Antonio López / Victor Erice, which is part of the Versión Española programme.

On 16 July there will be a showing of the programme The invisible Half devoted to Antonio López’s works on the Gran Vía in Madrid and three documentaries focuses on López’s latest sculptures: Night and Day, Atocha and Woman of Coslada, and Story of a real Sculpture.
