The museum is presenting a short course offering a detailed focus on Nordic painting through the dialogue between tradition and modernity. Coinciding with the exhibition devoted to Vilhelm Hammershøi, it will allow participants to explore the unique character and significance of painting from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland during the late 19th and early 20thcenturies.
Over three in-person and online sessions, the main themes and features of this pictorial school are addressed through the work of artists such as Edvard Munch, Anders Zorn, Vilhelm Hammershøi and Hilma af Klint.
