Da Camera Concert Series of the International Institute of Chamber Music of Madrid

Chamber music is an essential genre in the history of music and in every musician’s learning process. It is at once ensemble music and solo music, because the listener can distinguish the sound of each performer. In the absence of a director, it requires a type of shared leadership in which the artists have to coordinate among themselves to obtain the best results.

In the Da Camera concert series, students from the International Institute of Chamber Music of Madrid present the fruits of their work live and in three formats: string quartets, wind ensembles and piano ensembles.

15 November: String quartets department. Professor Günter Pichler.

Date: 15 November 2019
Place: Sony Auditorium of the Reina Sofía School of Music

The Rising Generation Cycle: Dmytro Choni

Dmytro Choni is the winner of the XIXth Paloma O'Shea International Piano Competition of Santander.

The Rising Generation series of concerts is one of the leading exponents of the School’s objectives, as it unites on one highly-demanding stage the spread of classical music in society with the maturation of talented young musicians.

In this series of concerts, organized in collaboration with the INAEM (National Institute for Scenic Arts and Music), the best interpreters at the School have the opportunity to appear on the prestigious stage at the National Music Auditorium to offer audiences new versions of great works from the repertoire in recitals, chamber groups or orchestras.
