Women have frequently been depicted over the course of the history of art, undergoing different transformations in relation to the canons and cultural contexts of each era.

This tour within the Focus on the Permanent Collection programme, offered exclusively to Friends, offers a wide-ranging and transversal vision of the representation of the image of women in Western painting from the Renaissance to the 20th century. Virtue, ideal beauty, sensuality, emancipation, illness, the female self-portrait, woman as temptress, modern women artists and intellectuals and muses are among the themes that structure the tour.

This activity will take place solely online via the Teams platform. Friends can choose between different times on 18 and 25 March.
