From ornamental vases of flowers to large-format landscapes, over the centuries artists have demonstrated an innate interest in the elements and sensations of nature at different times of year.

Every three months, this new activity exclusively for Friends will offer a tour of the paintings in the collection which will focus on the changes of colour and light characteristic of the four seasons, followed by a visit to a natural space in the company of an expert botanist.

The typical red and brown tones of autumn are the protagonists of the first edition, in which participants will learn in detail about the works in the museum that reveal the beauty of this season. Following this activity they can appreciate their subtle colours at first hand in the Royal Botanical Garden in Madrid.
