The Workshop, entitled Drawing the Museum which took place in April and May 2012 and led by the illustrator Jorge Arranz, offered the Friends of the Museum a journey sketched out by the history of painting through the Museum’s collections. Starting from the concept that to look at a painting is not the same as to look at it with a pencil in hand, this workshop offers participants the chance to move from the appearance of a painting to its very essence. Participants worked with two tools: a hand-made notebook and a Samsung Galaxy Note, two media that are complementary when looking for the technique in which to express. Participants finished the workshop with a wide-ranging and personal vision of their journey through the Museum, expressed in their notebook or on their screen.
