Travelling with the painting. Berlin/Potsdam
The Artist's Granddaughter with her Governess in the Wannsee Garden (1923), a work by Max Liebermann belonging to the Carmen Thyssen Collection, travels to the Museum Barberini in Potsdam for inclusion in the exhibition Avantgarde: Max Liebermann and Impressionism in Germany. In conjunction with this loan the museum is organising a new edition of Travelling with the painting, in which Friends have the opportunity to follow in the work’s footsteps and enjoy private and exclusive visits during a five-day trip.
The itinerary includes out-of-hours visits in Berlin and Potsdam to the Neue Nationalgalerie, the Museum Barberini, the Neues Museum, the Feuerle Collection and the Alte Nationalgalerie, as well as tours of the Berlinische Galerie, the Jewish Museum, the Gemäldegalerie and the private collections of Erika Hoffman and the Boros Collection.
