Following the completion of the two cycles of the course In situ / Ex situ, the museum is proposing a short trip that allows participants, in collaboration with VisitFlanders, to see some of the works and spaces analysed during the sessions in situ

The itinerary, created specifically as a unique and on-off complement to this course,* includes visits to Antwerp cathedral to see the Triptych of The Descent from the Cross by Rubens and to the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen (KMSKA), which houses works by great masters suchas Rogier van der Weyden, Joachim Patinir, Théo van Rysselberghe and James Ensor. The programme also includes a tour of Leuven's historic centre, following in the footsteps of Dieric Bouts, and visits to contemporary art galleries in Antwerp to explore the work of 21st-century Flemish artists.

*This trip is not included in the exclusive travel programme offered to Friends of the Museum. Its objective is to see in situ some of the works and spaces covered in the courses In situ / Ex situ held in 2025 and In situ / Ex situ II held in 2026.
