This publication brings us closer to the figure of Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza, who established himself in the 1980s as the most important art collector of the second half of the 20th century. His collection was written on innumerable occasions that it constituted the private set of works of art of the highest quality in the world, with the sole exception of the collection of the Queen of England, whose character is, in any case, more institutional than strictly personal. However, the baron's involvement in collecting was somewhat late. Only over the years would it become a true passion that he would put before other facets of his life.
