The pack designed to make your gift unique includes:
- A welcome folder with the information the new Friend will need to enjoy all the programme’s advantages.
- The Friend card, activated and ready to provide free entry to the museum and activities.
- The FEAM card for free, discounted entry to other museums.
- A welcome email with information on how to register in the private area and book activities.
You can send the pack to the postal address of either the beneficiary or the person making the gift, or you can pick it up at the Museum. It is sent by registered mail and takes approximately 15 days to arrive. If you need it by a specific date, you can arrange with us to pick it up beforehand at the Museum.

What details do I need to provide about the recipient of the gift?
To register and issue the card, only the beneficiary’s name and surname are required. The details necessary for the new Friend to receive all the information will be requested later. The beneficiary may add further information from their private area once they have registered on the website.
How long is the subscription valid for?
Subscription is valid for one calendar year, starting from the month in which the Friend registers until the end of the same month of the following year.
I pay for the first year, but what happens later?
Either the payee or the recipient may renew the subscription. The recipient will receive an email with details of the renewal date some time before the subscription expires.
For your convenience, the fee may be paid by direct debit, so that the card is automatically renewed every year.
Do I benefit in anyway from gifting it to someone else?
The giver of the card is entitled to a tax deduction. We will therefore ask you for your tax number simply to prepare a tax deduction certificate.
By gifting Friend status or becoming a Friend of the Museum you may deduct at least 80% of the donation from your personal income tax.
The income tax deduction is 80% of the donation for the initial €250 and 40% thereafter. If in the two previous tax periods you have made tax deductible donations or contributions to the Fundación Colección Thyssen-Bornemisza for an amount, in each, equal to or greater than that of the previous period, the deduction percentage for any amount exceeding €250 will be 40%. The tax base for the deduction may not exceed 10% of the taxpayer’s net taxable income.
