The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide. It promotes the study of the German language abroad and encourages international cultural exchange. In Spain it has institutes in Madrid, Barcelona, Granada and San Sebastian. It organises a wide range of activities including concerts, film viewings and exhibitions, as well as the publication of interesting and relevant material.
