In conjunction with the exhibition Alma-Tadema and Victorian Painting in the Pérez Simón Collection, the exhibition’s curator Véronique Gerard-Powell gave on 23 September the free lecture Victorian Painting, the issue of Pre-Raphaelitism and the search of beauty in which she presented an overall vision of the most significant elements within British painting from Pre-Raphaelitism to 1914.
