On this occasion, Alaska examines Thomas Cole’s Expulsion. Moon and Firelight, painted in about 1828, another of her favourite pieces at the museum. She explains the symbolism of this painting as a metaphor for 19th-century industrialisation.
Alaska shows us her favourite works at the Thyssen from a different point of view, explaining the impact these artists have had on other cultural expressions.
