Discovering the Thyssen with Alaska gives us a chance to experience several masterpieces at the museum from a very personal point of view.

In the course of this series, we will learn about Alaska’s favourite paintings at the museum, parts of her life and how the different themes of these works influenced her from a young age.

We’ll begin with the chivalric romances that have fascinated countless generations of readers. And Alaska is no exception, which is why she invites us to explore that world as we contemplate Vittore Carpaccio’s marvellous portrait of a Young Knight in a Landscape (circa 1505).
