Since 2020, International Museum Day has centred each year on one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in order to emphasise museums’ role in achieving those ends. For this year, 2025, the focus is on the importance of cultural and educational learning through the theme of “The future of museums in rapidly changing communities”.
