A different life? How does it mark a new city, a new language, another way of life? The exodus of European artists to America was a general phenomenon in the past and, in different circumstances, remains so in the present This way, the musical experience Imagining the New World aims to put across the impact that New York had on the life and work of the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, based on composer Sonia Megías’s experiences in the city.

Performing: Eva Guillamón and Sonia Megías, of Dúa de Pel; Ana Hormigos, flute; Jesús Fernández, clarinet; and Beatriz Alcaine, wardrobe.

Imagining the New World, the second part of the musical tour Movement, Better Shared is a new experience as part of 360º Thyssen, the project that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the works of the museum from different perspectives thanks to the collaboration of Fundación BBVA.
