Art & Science Synergies

As Pliny the Elder shows us in his Naturalis historia (79 A.D.), art and science were originally one and the same thing. Although the Enlightenment of the 18th century clearly distinguished between logical, or scientific, and sensory, or artistic, knowledge, are they not both complementary ways of unraveling the secrets of life? What are the current links and alliances between art and science?
