What is there in the museum that can also be found in Madrid? What is there about Madrid that can also be found in the museum? What do they have in common?

The Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, which is located in Madrid’s Art Walk, reflects the magnificent melting pot of styles, characters, periods and ideas that pervaded Western painting from the thirteenth to the twentieth centuries. The museum is therefore one of the cultural benchmarks of Madrid Autonomous Community and also a reflection of the region in which it is located.

Madrid is a great source of natural, culinary and aesthetic wealth that shares the same spirit that is to be found in many paintings of the Thyssen collection. The Region of Madrid through Art is an initiative which exhibits all this wealth by bringing the museum’s paintings directly face to face with different spots and corners of the region in three thematic tours: Fashion, Food and Nature.

“In some way or other we already know the Thyssen Museum. However, this project invites us to get to know it better through special routes that are closely linked to everything the Region of Madrid has to offer visitors and those who live here.
