With this virtual guided tour you can travel through seven centuries of art history through fifteen masterpieces and delve deeper into our collection. Narrated by our curators, discover the little stories hidden in the paintings at any time and pause the guided tour whenever you want.

Friends have the chance to enjoy a preview of the exhibition devoted to the Danish artist Vilhem Hammershøi the day before it opens, as well as to participate in private guided tours with the option of different formats, dates and times.

On Saturdays and Sundays from February to May 2026 the museum will be offering guided tours of the exhibition Hammershøi. The eye that listens, the first retrospective in Spain to be devoted to the Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi (1864-1916).

Friends of the museum have the opportunity to enjoy some of the concerts organised by the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía [Reina Sofía School of Music], thanks to an agreement signed in 2019 and renewed annually.

This Easter the museum is offering a special edition of the Travelling Families activity aimed at families with children aged 7 to 12.

What if chaos had nothing to do with disorder but rather with sensibility? In fact, in science the concept of chaos has nothing to do with disorder. This tour aims to introduce participants to science in an original and simple manner, using masterpieces from the museum's permanent collection to help us understand the notion of chaos.

As part of the public program of Pedagogies of War, the museum and TBA21 organize The Night Watch, a guided tour of the exhibition streamed live on Twitch from a mobile phone.

A sensory experience by sound artist Polifeme where the boundaries between seeing and hearing dissolve. An event that invites the audience to perceive light as an energetic phenomenon that can be heard and experienced through the body.

To coincide with the exhibition, the museum is organising a series of lectures focusing on the Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershøi.

This session analyses German painting from the 14^th to the 16^th centuries as a unique tradition characterised by a powerful spirituality and expressiveness and distinct from Italian classicism and Flemish naturalism. 

With this sound installation the artist encourages reflection on rituals traditionally reserved for men; rituals that even today continue to exclude women in some cultures.

The museum is organising a new edition of Travelling with the painting, in which Friends have the opportunity to follow in the work’s footsteps and enjoy private and exclusive visits during a five-day trip.

This session offers an analysis of works created for a cultured clientele that demanded civic portraits, domestic scenes, landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes. The museum's exceptional collection of 17^th-century Dutch painting allows for a detailed examination of this fruitful artistic period.
